“A GALAXY OF GREAT YOUNG TALENT!”

PBN’s 3rd Annual CODA Concert 2024

An Inspiring Concert Celebrating the Achievements of School Music Students and Their Teachers.

LIVE at the Hand House in Elizabethtown, NY
One Show Only-Sunday, May 19th at 3:00PM- SOLD OUT!

According to Merriam Webster, a CODA is: “a concluding musical section that is formally distinct from the main structure.” Our CODA Concerts occur near the end of our concert season, and are a highlight and conclusion of our year’s work.

Hear the promise of the future in each of our performers at PBN’s third annual CODA Concert!

On Sunday, May 19th, at 3PM Piano by Nature would like to give you a special kind of concert—one of budding young musicians who represent the very best in our area; a concert which will allow you to see the bounty of what we musically grow here in the North Country!

PBN has created this special one-day concert opportunity to recognize and celebrate our student’s passion and dedication to music, their countless hours of practice, and their willingness to remain open to critique from a variety of mentors along the way–dispositions that will serve them well no matter which paths they may choose to take in life.

The students featured on this program range from middle school through college and have been immersed in every possible kind of musical offering to be had in our region. From traditional school music classes and ensembles, academics and athletics, school and community musical theatre, private lessons, NYSSMA Solo Festival, All-County, Area All-State, Conference All-State Festival, Ithaca College High School Gospel Choir Festival, the Adirondack Honors High School Gospel Choir Festival at PSU, opening for Kevin Burt at the Strand Theatre, the National Children’s Festival Chorus at Carnegie Hall–they simply do it all!

These students are also representative of the broader spectrum of learners: young people who are near the beginning on their own musical journeys, high school students who will be leaving us for the challenges of college life, and students who are either in the midst of their college careers or completing their first degrees in music. With all of this in mind, there is another narrative to be shared. For some students, much of their musical experience happens well beyond the boundaries of our public schools. In this concert, you’ll get to experience what happens when that lightning strikes—when an innate gift is coupled with the right instrument at the right time!

Come join Piano By Nature in celebrating these talented and dedicated individuals, and stay for the sumptuous reception to follow. For this event, we will welcome donations of any amount that can be dedicated to our general outreach, or specifically, to our present and future CODA concerts. The Hand House parlor will open half an hour prior to performance time, and we encourage attendees to arrive early to avoid lines at check-in. Reservations are not required for this event, but if you are bringing a large party, we would like to encourage you to let us know in advance at either pianobynature@gmail.com or by calling 518-962-8899.

Thank you for your generosity and continued support of our concerts We look forward to seeing you very soon at the Hand House.
